Friends in Parisian Places: Justin & Keri Edition

Another Round of Fun

It's official, Spring is here.  And just in time for Justin and Keri's visit.  Spring equals picnics along the Seine and in all the beautiful parks, flowers back in bloom and trees with leaves on them again, not having to wear five layers of clothes just to walk the dog, run to the market or go to the gym.  Ahhhh Spring brings so many pleasures along with it.  Kick rocks, winter!

We were so happy that Justin and Keri got to experience such gorgeous weather the entire time they were in Paris - especially because the period of time they were here was sandwiched by rain.  Lucky Ruchti's... or Luchti's.  Ugh, so cheesy.

Anywho, we had an excellent time, as we usually do with visitors.  We fit in all the regular Parisian awesomeness, but also tried a few new things - like an evening bike tour, a new restaurant and me getting pooped on by a bird.  I only enjoyed two of those things.

Visiting the Arc

 Love this picture of them.
 Delicious falafels in the Marais

 Notre Dame
 Strolling Ile Saint-Louis
 Having ice cream along the Seine, staring at beautiful Notre Dame while a model is doing a photo shoot right behind us. No big deal.

Pont Alexandre III

Keri, I just love that necklace.

We went to Versailles and somehow this is the only picture I have from it!
 Tower-sparkle-viewing-party

 Absolutely delicious dinner of rustic French country food.
 With a very jolly server :)

One of the new things we did was go to this 100 year old restaurant that was on "the list" for Julie, Kyle and me - Chez Denise.  Sadly, it was just okay.  The food was too heavy for my liking and there wasn't much else to speak about.  I'd say the fact that it was over 100 years old was definitely the coolest part.  Except, of course, that we had a lot of fun chatting and hanging out.

 How outrageous is this veal dish??  It was really tasty, but so filling.  This was actually for Justin, Keri, Julie and Kyle to all share.  It looked like they hadn't made much of a dent in it at the end of the meal.

We took a long walk home to feel better about the massive meal.  Plus, it is just so lovely!  We are so fortunate to get to live in this amazing city.  We are even more fortunate that we get to share such great experiences with such awesome people.  I mean, really, it's crazy!

 Perfectly timed tower sparkle for our viewing pleasure.

 Cutest little baby blue Vespa.  Just couldn't pass it without a pose-off.
I don't know if I could have concocted a better day in my imagination than what we actually had for their last day in Paris.  It was about 68 degrees, not a single cloud, every few minutes a cool breeze would roll through as if it knew you were just about to get a little too warm in the sun.  Magnificent!
Kyle and Julie joined us on their lunch breaks for a picnic in the park.

 Then, we went on a night bike tour through the city.  What do you think about my super stylish vest?  They're all the rage in France.

 Kyle = Too Tall
Maygan = Mr. T
 Justin = Mont Blanc
Keri = Jazzy
 Jazz hands for Jazzy
We capped it all off with a night cruise along the river.  Where we learned that Justin and I have a really hard time keeping our eyes open with a flash on and I have really funny hair after a bike ride.

So much fun!  Thank you guys so much for coming to see us, Justin and Keri!!!!

Luckily it won't be long until we see y'all again, and everyone else, because we arrive in Houston this Thursday, March 22.  YAYYYYYYYY!

Bisuous!
