Through the Eyes of My iPhone - May 2012

Out and About and Whatnot
Sometimes the prettiest days in Paris are the cloudy, rainy ones
That's only sometimes though, because the nice weather finally arrived and woke up the city.
 Back to patio-sitting, picnicking, color-wearing, not-needing-an-umbrella-the-entire-day, sunset-watching good times.

We took in the show at Au Lapin Agile Cabaret. We absolutely LOVED this place. It's been around for something like 150 years. Think the scenes in Midnight in Paris when Owen Wilson's character steps back in time. This place is the real deal though. Picasso was a regular patron and gave his famous painting "Au Lapin Agile" to the cabaret in 1905. In 1912 the owner sold the painting for $20... it later sold at Sotheby's for 41 MILLION DOLLARS
The room is small and dark, everything is in French, they sing 500 year old French folk songs. Just check out the piano player. Can't wait to go back again!
Underground jazz on a Monday night. One of the many amazing things about Paris.
Just another day at the office. AKA - museum tours at Musee d'Orsay. Isn't it gorgeous?
Opening cards and birthday gifts sent with Clay and Holly from back home! So sweet, made my day :)
(More on Clay and Holly's visit, my bday and their ENGAGEMENT in the next post)
Checking out the nighttime view from l'Arc
Catching a 10:00 PM flight to England last week. Sadly, it was to attend the final farewell to my Aunt Kathleen. I'm grateful that I'm so close  that I was able to go up on short notice. Although the occasion was sad, it was really lovely to see our family.

Until next time!

Bisous!
Maygan
