Dancing in the Streets
As soon as summer made it's way to Paris, the city came alive. There have been more rainy, gloomy days this year than not, so the arrival of nice weather is welcomed with open arms.
I just love strolling around on a lovely day to see what we come across. Lately there has been a musical theme...
New Orleans style band on Saint Germain (it looks like I'm doing a clever toe-pointing dance, but I was just tipping them)
Pianos set up throughout the city that say "Play me, I'm yours"
SUCH a fun night!!!
Every Saturday during the summer months there is a "fireworks spectacular" on the grounds of the palace of Versailles. Fat Tire/Easy Pass Tours (the company I work for) does a combo wine tasting/dinner/firework extravaganza on each of these Saturdays, so a group of us joined the festivities.
'Twas a magical night of French wine and cheese, light shows, fancy music, flame throwers and Louis XV impressions.

Other Stuff
We were missing Greece already, so we had a Greek-themed dinner.
Not everyone had time (or extra sheets, which cost a bazillion euro in Paris) to make togas. Those of us that didn't opted to wear beach-themed outfits like we were in Greece. Lame substitute, I know.
Supposedly this was a jazz festival. Can't you see all the jazz and festivaling going on? In actuality it was a weird shrieking lady that "performed" for two hours. Ah well, the park was really beautiful and it was somewhere we hadn't been before.
I love Julie's enthusiasm for group photos.
We probably got swine flu from drinking wine on the metro.

LOVE all these pics! First of all, the pic of you and Julie in the fountain at Versailles may be one of my fav pics of all time! (the one of you by yourself at the fountain in your sweet pink pants is super cute too!) 2nd, I love that you already had a Greek night! I just told my friends last night that we need to do a Greek dinner night asap! Did you cook all your fava beans already?? 3rd, so that's the famous "jazz fest" thats going on every weekend this summer? haha ohhhh I miss you guys...and Paris...and Greece! (Told you I would start commenting on your blog!) Hope yall have so much fun in NY!! xx
