Cemeteries, Zombies & Stripes... The "I Love Halloween!" Edition

Pere Lachaise

Halloween is not really celebrated in Paris... LAME.  So, in an effort to feel in the spirit, Julie, Christina, Kyle and I decided to make a trip to Pere Lachaise Cemetery.  It's a massive cemetery in the 20th arrondissement where there are over a million graves, including many famous artists, writers, singers, etc.  Probably the most famous to Americans is Jim Morrison.  Also buried there is Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein and tons of influential people in French culture.

It sounds creepy, but it is actually a very beautiful place.  It is especially pretty this time of year because of the amazing colors of the leaves.

We were very inspired by the setting...

Uh oh, looks like a zombie escaped.

Yep, we couldn't get enough...

Parisian Zombies Attack!

Halloween night we started the celebration with spooky cocktails at Chantal and Remy's apartment and ended it with a party with the Fat Tire peeps.  Lots of fun!

We couldn't smile in any pictures because, believe it or not, it was far too creepy looking.  Not a flattering look for a gal.

This is Remy.  Remy is French.  I think he was a rabbit?  He made a good effort for a French person :)

Julie makes a great Betty Crocker!

Wednesday Friendsday

We finally brought back Wednesday Friendsday and we've had a blast the past couple weeks.  If you have never played Catch Phrase with non Native English speakers, put it on your to-do list.  It is hilarious!  We played this week with four guys from Mexico, one French guy and five Americans.  All of the non Americans speak English really well, but it's hard to describe "long in the tooth" or "tickle the ivories" when you have no clue what that means :)  So much fun.

Last week at our apt

This week at Andres and Alex's

This is just here because Buckley is cute.

Bisous!
