The City of Lights at Night

A New View

Paris is a totally different city at night, which is why it's dubbed The City of Lights, I suppose.  It certainly earns that title.

In the summer it stays light and warm until nearly 11:00 PM.  In the fall/winter, not so much!  It gets dark by 5:30 PM and is cold all day, of course.  That hasn't deterred us from braving the cold and enjoying our usual outdoor activities.  Proving that Paris is fabulous no matter what season it is!

Late night picnic in the park to watch the tower sparkle with Erin's visitor, Kyle (far left).  Kyle is ending his two and a half year trip around the world in Paris before he heads back to the US for the Holidays.  What a life!  Awesome.

Sante!  (Sorry Andres, can't seem to figure out how to uncover you.  Oops.)

We went up to Montmartre last Saturday to watch the sunset and catch the view of the city at night.  It turned out to be a super fun night.  Complete with an international sing-along on the steps of Sacre Coeur.

Visitors

Amanda was in town last week for a quick, two day visit.  However, we are total fools and didn't get any pictures.  Grrrr.  Oh well, she will be back for a proper visit!

Sarah and Ricky arrive in just a few short days and we can't wait!!!!!  Oh the adventures we will have.  Stay tuned for the complete scoop on their visit :)

Bisous!
