'Tis the Season to be Parisian!

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Well, it's been a weekend of Christmas joy!  Kicked off with a Christmas tree decorating soiree with Julie.  We had all the elements of a traditional holiday party... Mariah Carey jamz, River Dancing, guitar playing, family photos, fist pumping with vacuums, improvised blues singing.  The works.

Buckster wore his fancy dress for the party.

So did Kyle.

It was tough to figure out where to put the tree.
That's not it...

Still not right...

Got it!  He is so special.

Then we found this wonderful hat.

And everybody gave it a whirl.

Obviously you should always properly stretch to avoid a putting-on-the-star injury.

Don't want to pull a tri.

Tah dah!

Behold our itty bitty, yet beautiful tree!

Sadly, the lights stopped working moments after these photos were taken.  Did you know that adapters don't work for American trees in France?  They don't.

It's Christmas Picture Time!

Kyle and I decided that as a newlywed couple we are required to take silly Christmas photos.  Buckley was forced to join.  Clearly we can't show you the winning pics, but here are some that didn't make the cut (and just some other pretty pics from today).

Isn't Buckley a handsome devil in his scarf?

Yep, we were super cheesy.

Such a gorgeous evening.

Weird scarf hair hanging below my coat...

Champs Elysees Christmas Market

Or what it really should be called - The Festival of All Things Delicious, Amazing and Chocolate Dipped.  I think Kyle, Julie and I must have said about twenty times each "Oh my gosh, this place makes me so happy".  It's like a Christmas market in the US, except that it's along the Champs Elysees, you are looking at fantastic monuments like the Arc de Triomphe while you stroll, and the "fair food" is French and so incredibly delicious.  We had just about one of everything and split it all.  I think we should do this every night for dinner until they take the market down :)

Enjoying vin chaud - hot, spiced wine.
YUM

Duh.

The making of the canele.

The eating of the canele.

We found a place making humongous pots of something very unhealthy.

So naturally we bought some of it.  Totally delish.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire!

Most impressive way to cook salmon, ever.

Wonderful fromage.

Chocolate galore.

My pal.

Waffle covered in Nutella.  Whaaaaaaat?!

We walked a lot today, so that probably made all the calories we ate a wash, right?  RIGHT??

Bisous!
